Joseph Malanga

Joseph joined Beirne in June of 2025 as a Junior Associate, bringing a strong background in Finance. Prior to joining the firm full time, Joseph interned with Beirne during the summer of 2024, where he collaborated with leadership across compliance, operations, and investment teams. 

Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree majoring in Finance and minoring in Accounting from Fairfield University where he graduated with Cum Laude. He is especially interested in the intersection of technology and finance, and in applying data-driven strategies to wealth management.

He gained additional experience by representing Fairfield University at the Rotman International Trading Competition in Toronto, competing against top schools from around the world. In this role, he designed and implemented trading strategies under real-time market conditions, gaining valuable experience in algorithmic trading, portfolio management, and decision-making under pressure.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys golfing, working out, spending summer days at the beach, and spending time with his family. As a lifelong hockey player, Joseph spent 12 years on the ice and still enjoys playing the sport recreationally.
